Announcing the Faculty of Business and Economics
“2010 will be an exciting year for Business and Economics @ Melbourne as we continue to build our reputation as the leading business school in the region.” Professor Margaret Abernethy, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics.
We are pleased to announce that the University of Melbourne Council has recently approved a change in the names of the Faculty of Economics and Commerce and the Melbourne Graduate School of Management. From the 1st of January 2010, we will be known as the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Graduate School of Business and Economics.
The new identities reflect our ongoing commitment to building a world class business school and provide additional reinforcement to our graduate school programs under the Melbourne Model. Over the coming weeks we will be launching a series of strategic initiatives that will celebrate and confirm our unwavering focus on world class research and “life-long” education programs in business and economics. As we embark on these exciting initiatives we will be actively engaging with our students, our alumni, the wider corporate and government community, our global alliance partners, and the domestic and international market place.
