Associate Professor of Human Resource Management, Michelle Brown, Department of Management and Marketing, is a guest on the program discussing performance management and merit. She explains that some employers have trouble implementing evaluation systems as it is hard to quantify the results of the work. Brown discusses the behaviour and result-based criteria often used in such situations. She notes that some research suggests that measures such as Key Performance Indicators can reduce cooperation as people look out for themselves.
