2012 Economic and Social Outlook Conference
The Melbourne Institute and The Australian are pleased to announce that registration has opened for their eighth joint Economic and Social Outlook Conference on Thursday 1st November and Friday 2nd November.
‘Securing the Future’ – How Australia can survive in a volatile world’ is the theme of this year’s conference. This is Australia’s preeminent social and economic forum that brings prominent national politicians, leading academics and key representatives from industry and NGO’s together to debate the pertinent issues facing this country.
The conference occurs over two days at the home of the Faculty of Business and Economics and each day is divided into sessions on selected topics. So far this year confirmed speakers include Treasurer Wayne Swan, Minister for Finance and Deregulation Penny Wong and Chairman of the Productivity Commission Gary Banks and others.
A number of different registration packages are available and those that are interested in attending are encouraged to register early to ensure attendance.
