Finance academic appointed to Government panel

Professor of Finance Kevin Davis has been appointed to the Government’s Financial System Inquiry panel.

The inquiry is expected to look at the level of competition in Australia’s finance sector, as well as the role of local and international regulators.

The announcement about the members of the panel was made this morning by the Treasurer Joe Hockey.  The next step for the Inquiry will be to receive submissions in line with the terms of reference. Submissions will open in early January and close at the end of March.

Professor Davis is leading national figure in the field of finance and researches in the areas of financial institutions and markets, financial engineering and corporate finance.
