Brains, minds and markets lab established
The Brain, Mind and Markets Laboratory has been established in the Department of Finance at The University of Melbourne to focus on experimental research on individual financial decision-making and on financial markets.
The lab will study risk decisions all the way from the brain to markets, integrating knowledge from decision and game theory with neurobiology, economics and finance, psychology and computer science.
Professor Peter Bossaerts — one of the world’s leaders in experimental decision making research in finance and economics — has been recently appointed Professor of Experimental Finance and Decision Neuroscience at the Faculty of Business & Economics and he will spearhead this laboratory. In this video he talks about the future for the discipline of finance.
