ESOC 2014 commences in Melbourne

Australia’s leading public policy conference commenced this morning in Melbourne.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Melbourne opened the conference with a speech on the case for reform of Australia.

Close to 400 attendees, who each received the Faculty’s research magazine below, will hear today from speakers including the Treasurer Joe Hockey MP, Senator Penny Wong, Minister for Communications Malcolm Turnbull and Shadow Minister for Families and Payments and Disability reform Jenny Macklin MP

Those not attending the conference can follow events on Twitter via #ESOC2014 and following @MelbInstUOM or they can log onto the Melbourne Institute website to hear audio after each session ceases.
