The Endeavour Awards is the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit‐based scholarship program providing opportunities for citizens of the Asia‐Pacific, Middle East, Europe and Americas to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. Awards are also available for Australians to undertake study, research and professional development abroad.

The Endeavour Awards aim to:

• Develop on‐going educational, research and professional linkages between individuals, organisations and countries;

• Provide opportunities for high achieving individuals from Australia and overseas to increase their skills and enhance their global awareness;

• Contribute to Australia’s position as a high quality education and training provider, and a leader in research and innovation; and

• Increase the productivity of Australians through an international study, research or professional development experience.

The Australia China Council Scholarship and Internship Opportunity – Final Year Students

The Australia China Council has developed a comprehensive mentoring and work placement program as an initiative to strengthen Australian bilateral economic and cultural relations with China. The program provides career development for graduates through 9-12 month internships with top-tier Australian or multinational companies based in China.

As well as offering work placement, the scholarship provides language training, stipend, mentoring and return flights to China. It is designed for students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the world’s fastest growing economy, and those with a passion for strengthening Australia’s relationship with China through business or cultural pursuits.

The award is open to Australian Citizens who are in their final year of study, or those who have recently graduated. Selection is based on academic merit, and demonstrated academic and working interest in the Chinese economy and culture.
