Street Stories: Melbourne walking tours with a difference

Do you want to challenge your view of Melbourne? Street Stories is a new social enterprise which conducts walking tours of Melbourne led by people who have experience homelessness. The tours offer customers a chance to discover unseen aspects of the city as well as a unique insight into the daily experience of a homeless person in Melbourne. Street Stories aims to empower the guides coming out of homelessness by providing them with an opportunity to engage with the broader community through sharing their stories and experiences of homelessness. Street Stories is a University of Melbourne SIFE initiative. Tours will run as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival starting on 24 Sept 2011. There are two tours (11am & 3pm) every Saturday & Sunday of the Fringe Festival, 24 Sept-9 Oct (excluding 1 Oct)
