The FMAA would like to invite you to the 2012 Financial Services Evening (FSE) ahead of the deadline for the submission of internship applications.

The evening will provide you with an opportunity to gain insight into the type of work that an employee in a Financial Services firm might perform, including speaking to analysts and associates from a range of firms.

The evening will be held in a panel-format; representatives from each firm will speak on and discuss several topics associated with career areas in the Finance industry and you will be able to ask any questions you may have. Following this part of the evening will be a networking session with refreshments, during which you will be able to talk one-on-one with the representatives and learn more about working in their firms.

2012 Eureka Corporate Cocktails Evening

‘Flying sky high’

Set eighty-nine floors above the Melbourne CBD, in one of the most iconic venues the city has to offer, CSS and their Monash counter-part the BCSS co-shared the event of all corporate networking events. The CSS and BCSS presented the opportunity to gain greater insight into the corporate world and future employment opportunities to two hundred Monash and Melbourne students. The new vocational networking evening for all Monash and Melbourne University students in attendance could not have been a greater success. With over fifteen professional financial and accounting companies in attendance, everyone was offered an indispensable occasion to expand corporate connections and source inside-knowledge for internship and graduate applications for Summer, 2013.

ANZ         Bain & Co              BDO        CPA         Deloitte                 Ernst & Young       Goldman Sachs

Institute of Chartered Accountants  KPMG     Lazard    Macquarie Bank  Morgan Stanley   NAB

Navitas                  Pitcher Partners  PKF         PwC        Responsys             UBS

Human Resource management as well as graduates and long-term professionals were available, in a friendly face-to-face environment, to promote their firms. Each firm eager to promote the advantages of working for such firms and information on application processes to some Melbourne’s finest young up-and-coming talents in the fields of commerce and banking.  Climbing the corporate ladder may seem daunting, however what may have been unknown and foreign the Commerce Student Society hopes that they have eased the anxiety and assisted in rendering it a more approachable task.

Fore future vocational CSS co-ordinated events, please check the website (www.cssmelbourne.com) or find us on facebook (CSS Melbourne).
