			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <strong><span style="color: #993366;">Mitsui Educational Foundation</span></strong> is running an all-expenses-paid Study Tour of Japan from 19 November to 10 December 2013 and are looking to select one full-time undergraduate University of Melbourne student to participate. The student must be an Australian citizen.</p>

<p>The study tour includes the following activities and the successful applicant will join a group of students from universities across Australia.</p>
<ul>
<li>a briefing on Mitsui&#8217;s business at their Tokyo headquarters</li>
<li>site visits to Nippon Steel and Toyota factories</li>
<li>a briefing on bilateral relations from the Australian Ambassador to Japan</li>
<li>an international relations class at Keio University in Tokyo</li>
<li>a chance to meet Japanese university students selected to work at Mitsui as graduates</li>
<li>a three-night homestay with a Japanese family in the city of Chigasaki</li>
<li>visits to places of historical and cultural significance in Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Nara and Hiroshima.</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Applications are due to Melbourne Global Mobility by Monday 20 May. Application instructions, the application form, and more information can be found in the links below (for the instructions and the form please scroll down to “Japan” on the page).</strong></span></p>
<p>After applying students may be interviewed and four students will be nominated to Mitsui. The participant will be selected from the final four by the Mitsui Educational Foundation after an interview.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The School of Management and Law at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) are offering an intensive program in Alternative Investments this July.</p>
<p>This unique program, taught in one of Europe’s major financial centres, is run by  ZHAW in conjunction with Dauphine University in Paris. It comprises two weeks teaching in Zurich as well as a weekend trip to Paris.</p>
<p>The course focuses on the latest research and developments in the field of alternative investments (hedge funds, private equity, leveraged buyouts and non-traditional investments) and aims to increase your ability to analyse the potential of alternative investments and understand the implications of various investment strategies. It is taught by alternative investment experts from France and Switzerland as well as Zurich-based hedge fund managers.</p>
<p>The course is taught in English and is suitable for credit to your BCom as a level 3 Finance elective through the study abroad program (provided you meet the eligibility criteria for study abroad).</p>
<p>The deadline has been extended for Melbourne students until Saturday 15 June.  Students should ideally have completed or be currently enrolled in Business Finance.</p>

<p align="center"><strong>Winners and shortlisted students are recognised as the best and most innovative in their field which can be a </strong><strong>significant catalyst when pursuing further studies or their chosen career.</strong></p>
<p>If you&#8217;re planning to submit your best undergraduate coursework to the 2013 programme, make sure you follow this handy action list:</p>
<p>1. Places are limited! To reserve your space in the competition <a href="http://www.undergraduateawards.com/submit" target="_blank">register here</a>.</p>
<p>2. Review the <a href="http://www.undergraduateawards.com/submission-guide/student-eligibility" target="_blank">submission guidelines</a> to ensure you&#8217;re on the right track.</p>
<p>3. Write a 100 &#8211; 300 word abstract to accompany your submission.</p>
<p>4. Fill out the <a href="http://www.undergraduateawards.com/submit" target="_blank">submission form</a> by May 24th. You can submit up to 3 different papers/projects.</p>

Graduates in Management and Marketing are returning to the university to share their experiences of life after graduation. They will address topics such as: difficulties faced in obtaining jobs, achievements, successes, helpful hints for students and career advice.</p>
<p>The night begins at 5.30pm and ends at 8pm. After the speakers finish, a networking session will commence for students at 7pm until 8pm.</p>
<p>This event will include drinks and finger food for all who attend.</p>
