Winners are brought to the UA Summit 2013: an exclusive three day networking event in Dublin. 

Winners and shortlisted students are recognised as the best and most innovative in their field which can be a significant catalyst when pursuing further studies or their chosen career.

If you’re planning to submit your best undergraduate coursework to the 2013 programme, make sure you follow this handy action list:

1. Places are limited! To reserve your space in the competition register here.

2. Review the submission guidelines to ensure you’re on the right track.

3. Write a 100 – 300 word abstract to accompany your submission.

4. Fill out the submission form by May 24th. You can submit up to 3 different papers/projects.

Nominate the CISA International Student of the Year

The Council of International Students Australia (CISA) is looking for an international student who has demonstrated academic excellence and dedicated a portion of his or her time to help others.

CISA International Student of the Year Award applications close on the 30th of May

The applications for CISA’s national student award close on Wednesday the 30th of May. If you know of an inspirational international student then please urge them to apply.

CISA International Student of the Year award is about recognizing the significant contribution that International Students make to the Australian community. We are looking for a well balanced international student, who has not only demonstrated academic excellence but also dedicated a portion of his or her time to help others and made a difference. 
 
Selection criteria
  • Demonstrated good academic progress while in Australia – Achieved a credit average during their period of enrolment or an official letter from the institute confirming good academic progress
  • Significant contribution towards the community while in Australia 
  • Demonstrated leadership, innovation and creativity in their work An inspirational role model particularly for students

The winner will be selected by an independent committee made up of industry and government representatives and nominees will be informed of the outcome via email.
 
 

The University of Melbourne Diversity and Inclusion Awards

Applications are sought for the inaugural University Diversity and Inclusion Awards. The Pro Vice Chancellor, Participation and Engagement, has made available $30,000 to recognise and reward members of the University community, including students and staff, who have made an outstanding contribution to diversity and inclusion. Up to three Awards of $10,000 each will be made.

The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Awards

The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Awards aim to develop internationally aware, skilled future leaders and to establish enduring education and professional linkages between Australia and the following countries and regions: India; Indonesia; Japan; Malaysia; the People’s Republic of China; Singapore; Republic of Korea; Taiwan; Thailand; and Viet Nam. The Awards provide the opportunity to undertake not only international research and study, but also internships or work placements.

The three categories of Awards are:

The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Incoming Postgraduate Award – offered to the top 20 recipients of the Endeavour Postgraduate Award from the eligible countries and regions.

The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Outgoing Postgraduate Award – provides financial support for Australian postgraduate students to undertake study or research in Asia towards their Australian postgraduate qualification, at Masters or PhD level, either by coursework or research, in any field of study.

The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Outgoing Undergraduate Award – provides financial support for Australian undergraduate students to undertake study or research in Asia towards their Australian undergraduate qualification, at Bachelor or Honours level, either by coursework or research, in any field of study.
