MBP & VBP Interviews completed

The Business & Economics Career Centre (BECC) received almost 150 applications from graduate students interested to participate in either a MBP or VBP project this July. All applicants have now been interviewed. Launch Function | 2012 Career Mentoring Program

On 19 April 2012, the Business & Economics Career Centre (BECC) celebrated together with 270 guests the tenth year anniversary of the Career Mentoring Program and the launch of the 2012 Program.  The lively function was held at the Basement Lecture Theatre and foyer areas at the Spot Building, providing all program participants with a warm welcome in our beautiful home.

Become a Mentor in the Leadership Award Mentor Program (LAMP)

Students who have participated as Mentees in the LAMP are invited to apply for Mentoring position in the LAMP.

Applications will open on the 10th of May and close on the 1st of June.

To find out more information about what we are looking for from LAMP Mentors, please attend one of the following information sessions. The details of the information sessions are as follows:

1st information session – Wednesday 2nd of May 1:30pm – 2:00pm in the Multifunction Room – Level 1, The Spot (opposite Lecture Theatre 1).

Grants to stage Diversity Week events

Each year in August, the University of Melbourne celebrates Diversity Week (Monday 6 – Friday 10 August) with a lively program of events organised by staff and students. This important event celebrates the rich diversity within the University community and promotes the inclusivity of all staff and students at Melbourne.

As members of the University community, we believe that diversity enriches all aspects of academic and social life – and you’re invited to join in the festivities! Successful applicants will receive grants of up to $300 for their activity, which should support this year’s theme, Celebrating Diversity: Engage, Experience, Connect.

Information Session for International Students on Changes to the General Skilled Migration Program and Post Study Work Visa

On 1 July 2012 the Australian Government will introduce major changes to its General Skilled Migration Program. These changes will have a significant impact on international students who wish to stay in Australia after completing their studies.

International Student Services (ISS) will be coordinating a session on these changes and the Post Study Work Visa. Details as below:
